The Mary Agatha Furth Center has one of the most beautiful 1,600 sq. ft. event facility kitchens in all of Northern California. This kitchen is available for rent along with the rest of the elegant facility.
The kitchen comes equipped with a large walk-in refrigerator, 4 convection ovens, 3 additional wolf range ovens, a 12 burner gas range top, flat grill, commercial slicer, full bussing station and dishwasher, pantry and prep area, and 2 double steam tables on casters. People using the kitchen are required to bring their own pots and pans and utensils.
All food service and food service personnel should comply with Sonoma County Health Department Regulations. Professional catering companies using the Mary Agatha Furth Center are required to have a registered food handles certificate on record with the Sonoma County Health Department, and must carry proof of insurance.
Ron
Skaar is the Kitchen Manager for the Mary Agatha Furth Center and is
fully licensed with the Sonoma County Health Department. Ron is a
Minneapolis native, moved to San Francisco after receiving his
degree in the arts from St. Olaf College. He worked in the catering
business with Armando Arroyo, then started his own special events
business, Palate Inc.
Based in San Francisco, Ron catered from New York City to Hollywood and many points in between. Ron developed a broad based and unique clientele (i.e.: Macy’s, Cartier, Charles Schwab to Sophia Loren). He became executive chef at the Wattis Room in Davies Symphony Hall, then opened a café and events space in the S.M.O.A. district of San Francisco.
In the mid nineties, Ron sold Palate Inc., relocated to Sonoma County, worked with Elaine Bell catering. Then later became “Chef to the Stars” for the Luther Burbank Center For The Arts. (Creating menus for stars such as Jose Carrares, Ottmar Liebert, kd. Lang, Lilly Tomlin, Jewel, PINK, Moody Blues, Vince Gil, and Wynonna).
Ron now lives in Cloverdale, raises orchids, pursues the art of watercolors, and has begun his new adventure in food, Fresh Details-a special events business for the wine country.
